Collection Update: 7/6/23 – Due to the forecasted heat for tomorrow, July 6, Penn Waste routes will be starting one hour early. This is for the safety of our employees working in excessive heat. In order to ensure collection, please have your material curbside this evening (July 5). We appreciate your understanding.
Week of July 3, 2023: Due to the 4th of July holiday falling on a Tuesday, all residential waste and recycling collection will be delayed by one day the week of July 4th. Tuesday customers will be serviced Wednesday. Wednesday customers will be serviced Thursday, and so on for the remainder of the week. Monday customers will not be affected by the holiday. Penn Waste wishes all of our customers a safe and happy holiday!
Rechargeable batteries, such as those found in common household items like cell phones, tablets, toys, electric toothbrushes, tools, and remote controls should NEVER be placed in your curbside trash and recycling bins because they start fires. Please visit Call2Recycle.org to find a drop off location near you.
Due to temperatures forecasted above 90 degrees Fahrenheit tomorrow, June 2nd, crews will be operating one hour earlier than typical in most communities. To ensure that your material is collected, please place your waste and recycling curbside this evening if you are scheduled to be collected tomorrow. Tomorrow’s customers are normally Thursday customers due to the Memorial Day Holiday on Monday, May 29th.
Collection Update: Memorial Day 2023 – During the week of the Memorial Day Holiday (5/29), all Residential Penn Waste collections will be delayed one (1) day. Monday (5/29) customers will be collected on Tuesday (5/30). Tuesday customers will be collected on Wednesday and so on for the remainder of the week through Saturday.
The following municipalities’ yard waste collection will be delayed by one week, occurring on 6/10/23, due to the holiday:

East Pennsboro Township
Fairview Township
Newberry Township
Susquehanna Township
