Due to severe weather conditions, all Penn Waste operations will be operating on a two-hour delay on Wednesday to ensure the safety of our dedicated team members.
Furthermore, as a result of the closure on Tuesday caused by inclement weather, our collection schedule for the remainder of this week will experience a one-day delay. Please note the following adjustments:
Tuesday customers will now be serviced on Wednesday
Wednesday customers will now be serviced on Thursday
Subsequent days will follow suit, with collection extending until Saturday

Collection Update: Routes Running Friday 12/18 – All Penn Waste routes will be operating on Friday, December 18th, 2020. We will be collecting Friday routes. For any areas that are inaccessible due to road conditions, we will collect double on your next regularly scheduled collection day. Thank you for your understanding.
Thursday Customers: We will accept double on your next regularly scheduled collection. Penn Waste routes will be operating on Thursday, December 24th, Christmas Eve.
Collection Update: Inclement Weather – Thursday 12/17/20 – Due to inclement weather, Penn Waste routes will not be operating on Thursday, December 17th. We will collect double your normal limit on your next regularly scheduled collection day for Thursday customers and any Wednesday customers that were not collected this week. At this point, Friday routes will be operating on Friday, December 18th. We appreciate your understanding during the weather.
Wednesday, December 16, 2020 – Due to the inclement weather beginning in our area, Penn Waste routes are no longer running for Wednesday. For any areas that were not collected today, we will collect double on your next regularly scheduled collection day. We do not take this decision lightly, but in order to ensure our crews can get home safely, this decision had to be made. We will provide further update on Thursday routes in the near future.
Penn Waste Operations is currently planning a strategy for the upcoming weather event that will hit Southcentral PA on Wednesday 12/16. As of now, our plans are as follows.
Wednesday, 12/16/20 – Penn Waste residential routes may start early in your area in an attempt to get most routes completed before substantial snow accumulation affects our operations. Please consider placing your trash and recycling curbside Tuesday Evening. Our crews will continue to operate until it is no longer safe to be on the roads. Penn Waste will then review the current status of Wednesday routes and the inclement weather. Updates for Thursday collections will be communicated Wednesday.
